Internet reacts to 41 year-old white man who returns from initiation school

A photo of a 41-year-old white man from Moteti village, outside Groblersdal in Limpopo, who had just returned from the initiation school shook the internet, as many users were left with many unanswered questions.

The man is said to have gone to the bush with a group of men who were following their custom.

Going through initiation is a practice done by many African cultures. This practice takes boys through the passage of manhood following their cultural customs.

Initiates usually spend many weeks in the mountains being taught the responsibilities that come with the title of being a man.

While boys go to the mountain excited to become men, families are usually left behind worried as some do not make it out alive.

The picture of the Moteti white villager was shared on X, (former Twitter) by news medium MDN News.
