The origin of the nickname
‘The Spine’ is a nickname given to Sindi by a popular TikTok creator, Atlegang Songo. He recently sent Sindi a voice message in her Instagram DMs offering kind words and hyping up her acting skills and talent.
The nickname is a humorous twist on the more professional term for actors: thespian. Atlegang expressed how he is impressed by Sindi’s talent as an actress.

To Atlegang, she shared the spotlight, saying this, too, is a moment for him to shine. In her caption, she highlighted just how special Atlegang’s passion and joy are in celebrating Mzansi’s talents. She stated that she loves seeing him being embraced for the nickname he had given her.
“And to @papi.nicetingz, the genuine passion, humour and joy you bring to celebrating South African talent and culture is so special. You have such a beautiful connection to the people, and seeing everyone embrace your creativity through ‘The Spine’ makes me so proud. This is truly your moment to shine. Thank you.”
