The State of the Nation Address 2019 (SONA) is the annual opening of Parliament. The president of South Africa will address South Africans from the Legislature in Cape Town where both the national Assembly and the National Council of Provinces will be addressed in a joint sitting. The SONA mainly focuses on the strategies which the government will be implementing around current political and socio-economic issues.
