SA reacts to the decriminalisation of marijuana

by Kwanele Mathebula
marijuana

The Constitutional Court has ruled that it is legal to grow and use dagga for personal use. This comes after a unanimous decision from the concourt judges with the judgement delivered by Justice Raymond Zondo. The case was brought by Rastafarian, Garreth Prince and the Dagga Party leader Jeremy Acton. The court did make clear though, that the dealing is still illegal and smoking it publicly is not allowed.

The news has taken social media by storm with reactions varying from excitement to hilarious.

Here’s a look at the reactions on social media.
