The Real Housewives of Durban reality TV star Mbali Ngiba plays the role of the devious Zodwa in Umkhokha: The Curse.

In Mzansi Magic’s latest soapie Umkhokha: The Curse, Mbali replaced famous actress Linda Sokhulu as Mamzobe’s (Deli Malinga) sister, Zodwa, and MaBusi’s (Hope Mbhele) mother.

New season alert?#RHODurban which exclusively airs on @ShowmaxOnline has 3 new cast members. The members Annie, JoJo, Nonku & Sorisha will be joined by new members Maria Valaskatzis, Mbali Ngiba & Silindile Wendy Ndlovu.#TvBlogByMluUpdate pic.twitter.com/08Eqskidoa

Mbali’s character, Zodwa, has been trending week after week as she is having an affair with her sister’s husband, Difa (Sibonile Ngubane), with whom she also has a daughter (MaBusi).

According to The South African, while some viewers of the faith-based soapie defend Zodwa for betraying her evil sister, #TeamMamzobe believes Zodwa’s pregnancy should be terminated.

Difa is actually the devil here. Playing these sisters. From Zodwa to MaMzobe, then Zodwa again then back to MaMzobe, now back to Zodwa again. Zibuse should beat him up everytime he sees him #Umkhokha #UmkhokhaTheCurse

This week, Difa also shocked Mamzobe’s fans by revealing that he intends to accept Zodwa as his second wife without his wife’s permission.

Teasers for the show reveal that Zodwa will come to close to losing her baby. Friday, 25 August teaser reads: “A trail of blood gives Zodwa and Difa the shock of their lives.”

The 28 August episode teaser reveals the following: “Zodwa comes very close to losing her pregnancy but is saved in the brink of time, and MaMzobe is far from happy hearing the news.”
