It has been six years since the summer that made household names out of a group of sun-kissed strangers. Love Island 2019 remains one of the most iconic seasons in the show’s history, remembered for its chemistry, drama, and record-breaking viewership. For fans, it wasn’t just about love stories; it was about watching a new wave of reality stars find their voice beyond the villa.

As the class of 2019 continues to shape their own paths, here’s where life has taken them in 2025.

Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea: From Winners to Individuals

Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea walked away with the crown in July 2019 after winning the hearts of viewers across the UK. Although their romance didn’t last long outside the villa, both have continued to thrive.

Amber has carved out a strong presence in media and fashion, collaborating with major brands and launching her first novel in 2022. She’s also been outspoken about her experiences with fame, representation and the pressures of public life.

Greg, a professional rugby player from Ireland, returned briefly to his sporting roots before moving into television and fitness work. Known for his discipline and charm, he has maintained a loyal following while building a career beyond reality TV.

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury: The Power Couple Still Standing

Runners-up Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury became the poster couple for Love Island success. Their relationship blossomed after the show, leading to an engagement in 2023 and the birth of their daughter, Bambi, in January that same year.

In 2024, they hit a public rough patch, announcing a brief split before reconciling by mid-2025. The pair now balance family life with demanding careers: Molly-Mae remains one of the UK’s top fashion and beauty influencers, while Tommy continues to compete as a professional boxer. Despite the pressures of fame, they remain one of the show’s most recognised couples.

Maura Higgins, Ovie Soko, and the Fan Favourites

Maura Higgins became an instant fan favourite thanks to her wit and boldness. Since leaving the villa, she’s built an impressive television career, appearing on and hosting several British and Irish shows. Maura has also worked with global brands and become a regular on red carpets, proving that confidence truly can be a career.

Ovie Soko, whose calm personality and memorable catchphrases made him a standout contestant, returned to professional basketball and expanded into modelling and lifestyle projects. His authenticity continues to win him fans across sports and entertainment.

India Reynolds has kept her focus on fashion and wellness, while Curtis Pritchard remains active in entertainment and theatre, often working alongside his brother AJ.

Lessons Beyond the Villa

Six years on, the Love Island 2019 cast have shown that fame can be fleeting, but impact lasts longer. For many, the show was a launchpad rather than a peak. Some, like Amber and Maura, turned exposure into long-term careers. Others chose quieter lives away from the glare of social media.

Their post-show experiences highlight the reality of modern celebrity: balancing authenticity with opportunity, privacy with public attention.

Why That Season Still Feels Special

Series five wasn’t just another year in the Love Island franchise. It produced contestants who resonated with viewers for their personalities as much as their relationships. Amber’s strength, Ovie’s calm wisdom, Maura’s sharp humour and Molly-Mae’s business savvy helped shape the future of the show and its influence on pop culture.

As Love Island continues to evolve, the 2019 cast remains the benchmark for what the series can create: not just fleeting fame, but stories of reinvention, resilience, and individuality.

So even as new islanders make their mark, the summer of 2019 still holds a special place in the hearts of fans, proof that lightning really can strike twice under the Spanish sun.
