Just in time for the FIFA World Cup, a familiar global superstar emerges: Shakira.

The Colombian singer shared a minute-long teaser clip for the new World Cup song, writing on social media, “From Maracaná Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026.” She also included a mention of Afrobeats star Burna Boy.

In the short video, Shakira appears on the field of Maracaná Stadium in Brazil, joined by dancers. According to her post, the full song will arrive May 14 2026, just weeks before the World Cup commences.

The FIFA tournament will kick off on June 11 with Mexico taking on South Africa at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. The final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, just outside New York City.
For generations, fans have linked Shakira’s voice to the World Cup tournament.
