More details have recently emerged following the sale of renowned music composer Lebohang Morake better known as Lebo M’s stolen grand piano.
Earlier this year, the prominent musician made headlines after it was discovered that his grand piano, which is said to have cost a fortune, was “stolen” by his ex-wife, Pretty Samuels. The discovery of the missing piano was made in the build-up to his highly anticipated concert, which took place at the Grand West’s Grand Arena which took place in April in Cape Town.
Following a recent court battle with regards to the missing piano, a source has recently told news and entertainment publication TshisaLive that Pretty is alleged to have sold the piano for next to nothing.
Speaking to the above-mentioned publication, the anonymous source said:
“The big man is devastated. Pretty sold the piano for R15,000. She agreed to R15,000, which is ridiculous,” said the source.
When enquired for comment, Lebo’s publicists highlighted that they would abstain from commenting on the matter.
“We are aware of the second-hand price for the piano. Unfortunately, we can’t comment as Lebo M is on his European tour. We can’t speak on the matter as it is in court”.
Meanwhile, Pretty has previously denied stealing his piano and previously stated that it was part of their divorce settlement, which is what Lebo denies.
A statement released by his lawyer Brian Msimeki, stated: “There is only one valid settlement agreement — and it was made an order of court.”
“There was no agreement. No consent. No justification to remove, sell, or dispose of that instrument. Only deception.”
