Starting a business doesn’t necessarily mean, quitting your job and using your last savings on a new project. You can start small and see where your business can take you.

Kathy Haan, a business advisor from Forbes advises that, start- ups need to take inconsideration everything needed to start a business. You have to identify what you’re passionate about so you can be able to sell your product, do a proper research to find out who is your target market and what would your brand be about.

According to South African Government you need the following things to start up your business :

1. You need an idea of what your business will be about.

2. Your business needs to be registered under the Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office (CIPRO).

3. Consult Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) to help you kickstart your business including making a business plan.

Here are lucrative small business ideas you can do:

If you like to cook
Start doing lunch boxes and supply companies, construction sites and schools. This business can work and be profitable if you’re passionate about cooking.

Small scale farming 
If you have access to land and water, start with buying vegetable seedlings and start with seasonal produce.

Cleaning products
You can do research on the best suppliers for cleaning products and work on your own branding for your products that would represent your business. Every company and household need cleaning products, If you work hard you can build a relationship with your clients so that you can supply them with cleaning products monthly.

Tutoring and homework services 
Find a team of qualified graduates and provide tutoring and homework services for learners, you can get your clients through talking to school principals and attending school meeting to network with parents and tell them about your services.

Online digital services
Put together a team of creatives for example, graphic designer, content writer, IT specialist etc.. Provide social media services for companies.
