Moroccan chicken

Moroccan chicken

Delicious and flavourful this Moroccan chicken recipe by Ntwenhle Gcabashe is a great snack or start of a great meal.

Prep time: 3 hours 10 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Serves: 5

  • 10 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
  • 1 cup natural yoghurt
  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) oil
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Salt and pepper
  • Cherry tomatoes, for serving
  • Grilled lemon slices, for serving
  • Pitta bread, for serving
  • Pesto, for serving
  • Mixed herbs, for serving

  1. Mix yoghurt, oil, curry powder, cumin, cinnamon, coriander and garlic in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Add chicken to the marinade, and place in the refrigerator for 2­–3 hours.
  2. Heat griddle pan. Grill chicken for 8–10 minutes or until cooked through.
  3. Serve with tomatoes, lemon, bread, pesto and mixed herbs.
