Minced Cheesy Bread Rollups

Prep time: 25 minutes Cooking time: 5 minutes Serve: 6 – 7 Medium

ALBANY D’light Cinnamon and Popcorn flavoured bread

  • 2 cups minced meat, cooked
  • 200g cheese, thick sliced
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) water
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoon parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoon dried mixed herbs
  • Salt and pepper to serve

Oil to fry

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk the egg and water.
  3. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, herbs and season well.
  4. Flatten the ALBANY D’light Cinnamon and Popcorn flavoured bread slices with a rolling pin. Cut off crusts.
  5. Spoon minced meat onto the rolled out bread and place cheese slice on top. Roll to form a sausage shape. Dip into egg mixture and then coat in breadcrumbs.
  6. Deep fry for 4 – 5 minutes until golden.
  7. Serve immediately.
