When Khanyi Mbau said, “Men will leave you stranded in the desert without water,” she was not lying as a woman recently found herself having to pay the bill after her date disappeared.

TikTok creator, who goes by the username @shanny.n on the app was left high and dry by her on a date.

In the video, the creator shared the details about her experience on the date revealing that her date left at the table to go and allegedly withdraw money but after hours of waiting he never returned, this then led to her being forced to pay the bill herself.

She posted on the entertainment platform with the caption, “Gave love a second chance and this happens, at this point, I’m starting to think I’m the problem.”

After she returned home she received a message from the date saying that he had work obligations hence he had to leave her there.

TikTok users took to the comment section to express how they felt about this situation with some referring to the phrase made by Khanyi Mbau.

One user said: “No, he’s looking for another free meal… that man is hungry.”

Another user said: “He thought you wouldn’t be able to pay your bill (adding laughing emojis).

One user asked why did they withdraw cash when there are so many ways to pay.
