Why you should read your horoscope for your rising sign

Have you read your weekly horoscope only for it to be completely inaccurate? Chances are you’re probably reading the horoscope for the incorrect sign.

Many astrologers agree that reading your horoscope for your sun sign is most likely to be inaccurate, and that you’re much better off reading your horoscope for your rising sun.

Most of us know our sun signs, as they coincide with our birthdays. Our rising sign, however, is determined by the specific time at which we were born. Since your rising sign correlates with when you took your first breath, it’s a major determining factor when deciding which life path you’ll take.

What is a rising sign?

Our rising sign determines the way we show up in the world. It’s your “first impression”, the façade you put on while trying to get to know each other.

It’s better to read your horoscope for your rising sign, as your rising sign determines the different signs in your different houses. Therefore, by reading the horoscope for your rising sign, you are able to get a more detailed description of things to come.

Mackenzie Greer, astrologer and horoscope writer, says that your rising sign is more accurately attuned to your actual life and all its complexities. Which is why it’s best to learn to read your rising sign. She further supports the claim by stating, “Reading for your rising sign gives your horoscopes a dead-on accuracy that you just can’t get from sun signs.”

Our sun signs may be important, but our rising sign gives us more insight. So next time you’re reading your latest horoscope, why not use your rising sign.
