How to remove oil stains fast

There’s nothing fun about sporting an oil stain on your cute outfit, we know. That’s why we’re here to save the day and share one of the best hacks we’ve discovered on TikTok recently!

Let’s be clear, this hack isn’t going to remove the months-old stain that you haven’t been able to get out even with multiple washes, but it may just save you in a pickle when you’ve got a meeting set for after lunch, and you’ve just stained your top…

This video, uploaded by TikTok user @imaanduh, has raked in over 980 000 likes and has been saved by over 220 000 users.

Imaan’s trick to removing a recent oil stain from an item of clothing starts with a bottle of dry shampoo, surprisingly.

And it’s pretty simple! All you need to do is grab your bottle of dry shampoo and spray over the stained area. You’re not going for a thin coat, you want to keep spraying until a thickish layer cakes up on top of the stain. The more dry shampoo there is, the more oil will be absorbed from the stain.

Once you’ve done this, let the shampoo sit for about 50-60 minutes before wiping away, and voila! Oil stains have left the building.

Try it and let us know how it works for you.
