When it comes to relationships, it can be challenging to know when you have grown out of love.

Here are some of the signs to look out for according to Psychology Today, the world’s largest mental health and behavioural science destination publication that includes love experts.

  • No longer feel happy or excited around the person

Psychology Today says if you used to feel happy and excited around a particular person and those feelings start to fade, this could be a sign that you no longer love that person.

  •  Make excuses to not spend time with them

Commitments and obligations are normal for all relationships, however, you might constantly make excuses to not spend time with the person, and instead of being happy with them, you feel relieved when they leave, says Psychology Today.

  • More negative feelings than positive

Negative feelings should not outweigh the positive ones. If that is the case, it means that the relationship is no longer healthy. The above-mentioned source adds that you may also find yourself dwelling a lot on the negative aspects of the person.

  • Feeling of disconnection

When the relationship is healthy and peaceful, you feel connected and engaged when talking to the person. Psychology Today adds that when you find yourself zoning out or if boredom strikes when you are talking to your partner, that could be a sign that you no longer love that person.

  • Thinking that the person misunderstands

The above-mentioned sources says that having different views in a relationship is normal, but if you always feel like the person does not understand or appreciate you, this might be another way to determine if you are still in love or not.

Be mindful of these signs so that you take time to reevaluate your relationship as it is normal for it to evolve and change overtime.
