5 Ways to eat a watermelon

Watermelon is a refreshing, delicious and perfect summer snack. There are many other ways to enjoy a watermelon besides cutting it up and eating it with a spoon.

Watermelon salad

Simply slice up the watermelon and mix it with chopped mint, feta cheese and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar to have a refreshing and delicious salad for the summer.

Watermelon popsicles

During hot days, you would like to have something to cool down. Blend the watermelon with lemon juice and sugar. Pour the mixture into the popsicles moulds and let them freeze for a few hours. Adding fresh mint or basil before freezing can be a fun twist to the mixture.

Watermelon agua fresca

Agua fresca is a delicious Mexican drink that is made from blended fruit and water. Making a watermelon agua fresca requires blending the watermelon and adding a little bit of sugar for taste.

Watermelon salsa

This is one of the fun and delicious ways to have a watermelon. Simply chop the watermelon into small pieces, add chopped cilantro, lime juice and a pinch of salt. The salsa can be served with tortilla chips or used as a topping for grilled fish or chicken.
