5 Tips to welcome spring into your home

The spring season would be incomplete without a touch of living decor around your home. Use these tips to fill your home with as many spring flowers as you can from the garden.

Go all out

If you have masses of flowers and don’t know what to do with them, a flower wall is your answer. This fun weekend project may not last long, but it will certainly make an impact while it’s around. Use floral foam and wire shaped into pins, placing larger flowers first and filling in with smaller ones to cover an entire space in spring blooms.

Hanging around

If you’ve maxed out your counter space with bouquets of flowers, look up. Hanging spots aren’t only reserved for houseplants.; they can also be used to hang small vases with individual flowers. This gives the blooms a more delicate look and allows you to maximise floral space if you only have a few blooms on hand.

Consider these classics

There’s nothing wrong with a classic, standout bouquet – especially when the flowers are fresh straight from the garden. Design your bouquet to align with your existing decor, blending it in seamlessly with the surroundings indoors as they naturally do outdoors.

Ice, ice baby

For those entertaining across the spring season, use your flowers to create a botanical affair by freezing them in ice. These will slowly melt, decorating drinks with stunning flowers and sprigs of blooms. Just make sure the flowers you choose are edible.

Eat it up

Speaking of edible blooms, they are another great way to bring spring indoors. Add a touch of floral colour to your favourite salads or desserts throughout the season as a reminder of the gorgeous garden beyond. Pick the blooms just before use to make sure they look as fresh as possible.
