Mio Fuse review

by Bongiwe Tshiqi

Our Beauty and Health writer Keletso Modisakeng wore a fitness tracker, Mio Fuse (R2 799) for a month for a review.

The fitness bug began as a trend and is now slowly growing into a lifestyle.  Whether you are getting fit for medical reasons, weight loss or just to look good; it’s never too late to start. The health accessories are part of this growing market and the Mio Fuse is what we tried.

The Mio Fuse is amazing for me because it works as a heart rate monitor, records your workout, amount of steps you take per day, your speed, pace and time. It’s an all-rounder as it is waterproof and safe to be out in the rain with or swim with it on.

I like the fact that it doesn’t restrict you to one arm but can be setup to be positioned on either arm. At the end of each day you can synchronised your workout to the app on your phone to keep records of your progress and workout.

Setting up the Mio was a bit complicated but once you get the hang of things it works well. It would be great for it to come with an instruction manual instead of needing you to watch the video online for you to know how it operates and is set up. The Mio app is available for both android and iPhone.
