How to reduce your waist size

It was December holidays just the other day and many of us indulged on many foods that re-shaped our waists from a small size to a large in a matter of weeks.

Now that festivities are over and the new year has come, it is not a bad idea to shed off the little weight picked in December or aim for smaller waist size just to look and feel good when dressed for an occasion.

We have compiled a list of activities to try that may possibly trim your waistline, getting you to your desired waist size.

  • Lifestyle changes – Often when we want to work on or bodies the lifestyle has to be one of the first things we need to consider changing. This can be done by changing small things such as substituting crisps with fruits, coffee with green tea and cutting down on our sugar intake, shares Healthline – the second largest consumer health publisher in the world.
  • Planks -planks are good for the abdominal muscle, they also help support a healthy posture while working your core muscle. “Start in a pushup position with your hands at your sides and your feet shoulder-width apart. It might help to do this exercise on a thin yoga mat or another stable, cushioned surface,” adds the above mentioned information hub.
  • Get used to moving – These days many people have cars meaning they may not have much time to move or walk as often as needed. Some have jobs that give them the liberty of sitting from morning until knock off. This is not to say people shouldn’t make time to incorporate movement in their daily routine as it is not only good for the physical body but the mental health as well, shares Women’s Health, a publication that focuses on all aspects of women’s healthcare.
