GALLERY: Karl Lagerfeld launches Cape Town store

Late German fashion designer and creative director Karl Lagerfeld recently launched the Cape Town store at the V&A Waterfront.

Despite the renowned fashion designer passing away in 2019, the luxurious brand has been kept alive as many international supermodels have modelled in his designs.

According to Fashion for Africa, this is the third store to open in South Africa, attracting A-list celebrities and members of the fashion industry. Led by the famous Europa Art Group, which is known for its design quality, the brand combines classic elegance with contemporary trends. It improves South Africa’s retail landscape by offering high-quality fashion that follows worldwide style trends.

GlamourSA adds that the event showcased the latest collections giving attendees the ultimate World of KARL experience, adding that, this guest list included South African cricketer Faf Du Plessis; TikTok star Nadia Jaftha; media personality Maps Maponyane; actress and model Pearl Thusi; digital creators Sergio Ines and Audrey Lunda; and singer-songwriter Msaki. With DJs Sir Vincent and Pearl Thusi hitting the decks.

Taking to Instagram page, Preview Designer Collection posted images of the A-lister at the store launch dripped in everything Karl Lagerfeld.
