Aura nails are trending, here’s inspo for your next set

My manicures always tend to reflect the phase I’m in. Whether it’s a colourful set to celebrate spring, or a chic and sharp classic French when I’m feeling serious, I’ve had many fabulous nail moments, and I’m about to have another. Tik Tok’s recent nail trend has now taken the internet by storm, and it’s not the kind of mani that takes forever. It’s actually relatively quick.

Let’s dive into the aura nails trend:

Aura nails

Aura nails are meant to reflect the aura of the wearer. Choosing colours that resonate with you and what you’re currently feeling is the simplest way to pick a colour-ways for your set, unless you can sense auras yourself…or find someone who can!

Using blooming gel or an airbrush, the cloudy, gradient ‘aura’ look is achieved. While not every nail tech has an airbrush, most do keep blooming gel in the artillery, and it works quite well.

While a plain set of aura nails look beautiful and ornate on their own, the aura idea also makes a good base canvas for finer, more intricate art. Keep it plain and simple with your choice of gradients, or go bold and add some art to your set, too.

Let’s take some inspiration from Instagram:

An aura set is just the right touch of fun and whimsy, and quite simple to achieve! If you aren’t into the gradient colours, then have a look at our spring nail inspiration guide and find the local nail artists who can pull them off!
