The show sees a group of South African celebrities and public contestants on a luxurious Island as they compete in a series of challenges across multiple weeks in order to win a cash prize valued at R1 million.

Zanele will be taking over from previous host Katlego Maboe.

Taking to her Instagram timeline she shared her excitement with her followers, writing:

“What a dream come true, literally. I get to say I’m the new host of Tropika Island of Treasure? It can only be God. Thank you Jesus. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your shares, comments and messages and all (I’m literally going to respond properly).

“This is such a huge milestone in my career and it’s about to be an amazing season 11. I can’t believe I’m being trusted with such a big legacy show I hadn’t even started to pray for this, but God had plans, okay? But I definitely wanted to host it some day.”

She later thanked her bosses for affording her the opportunity adding that she admired all of the previous hosts.

“I’m going to be posting a whole lot of things throughout the week and I hope you enjoy them, my champions.”
