South African media personality and actress, Thando Thabethe, enjoyed an unforgettable experience at the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco, California.

The NBA All-Star Weekend is one of the highlights of the basketball season as some of the league’s biggest stars such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant compete in the annual mid-season game.

The NBA All-Star Weekend features many outstanding events across the three days. Friday night is reserved for the Ruffles Celebrity Game and the Castrol Rising Stars Game.

Saturday is a day of fun and games as it features the Kia Skills Challenge, Starry 3-Point Contest, and AT&T Slam Dunk Contest, while Sunday is reserved for the NBA All-Star Game.

The event is not just a basketball celebration but instead a weekend of fun, glitz and glam as many high-profile celebrities are spotted in attendance at the event.

NBA Africa invited Thando, along with actress Linda Mtoba and Nigerian actress Osas Ighodaro and the three ladies were treated to an all-expenses trip to enjoy the fame and fortune of the event.

“African Queens Takeover in San Francisco! We’re bringing the vibrant energy, style, and power of Africa to the heart of the city, full of excitement, culture, and celebration. Meet the three incredible ladies who will be joining us for this year’s All-Star Weekend,” NBA Africa wrote.
