The musical talent ran in Thabang’s blood, as he was the son of the late legendary Philip Tabane who was a South African musician, vocalist, jazz guitarist and band leader from Mamelodi. According to YouthVillage, Philip led a famous group, Malombo Jazzmen and his music was heavily influenced by Sepedi Chants and rhythms which are known to have spiritual powers.
