Soon, it is Valentine’s Day and a lot of people are showing love to their partners.

This is not the case for previous BONA cover star, Sikhumbuzo Mayaba who is married to media sensation and author Nozibele Qamngana-Mayaba. He took his time to write a heartfelt appreciation post to his mother-in-law after losing his mother.

For someone who has been following the topical couple, I have come to learn that they both love and respect their families. The two lovebirds have evidently shown their relationships with each other’s parents.

In a lengthy post shared on his social media platforms, Skhu wrote that he just wanted to appreciate her for raising his wife who is a phenomenal woman. Continuing to praise his wife, he said that everything that she has done is rare for someone who grew up in an urban area, “All thanks and credit to you.”

He also explained that for a long time, he and his mother had to plan all funerals at his house but since Nozi came it has been different. He details that he thought because his mom was now gone he was alone, but with Nozi there, everything went well and could go through all emotions.

He concluded by saying, “You are now the only mom I have and I have no doubt that you will continue impacting me positively also through your daughter. Love you always mom.”
