She recalled being at a supermarket when someone shouted, “Are you Siya Kolisi’s wife?” Rachel revealed that she simply answered “no,” a response that reportedly sparked cheers from people nearby.

The mother of two said keeping the Kolisi surname is primarily about creating stability for her children during a major life transition. Rachel explained that after years of frequent moves and adjusting to divorced parents, maintaining the family name helps provide consistency and comfort for her kids.

A clear message to critics

She also addressed critics who continue to question her choice, saying she finds the public obsession with her surname unnecessary. Rachel made it clear that her decision is personal and urged people to respect her privacy rather than speculate about her future plans.
