Nota Baloyi facing rape allegations from Itumeleng Bokaba

Shortly after the revelation of actress and singer Itumeleng getting the short end of the stick by receiving a mere R0.59 as compensation for her role on the hit track ‘Mayibabo’, the former YoTV presenter has come out with rape allegations against controversial artist manager Nota Baloyi.

In a statement shared on her Instagram, Itumeleng revealed that the matter between her and Nota was one that she had hoped to remain between those concerned, however, unfortunately, controversial entertainment commentator Musa Khawula got wind of the news, subsequently revealing it to the public.

“I know everyone is concerned and panicked right now but I want to assure you that I’m okay… This situation occurred before the  ‘Mayibabo’ saga that made headlines last week, and it is not connected to that issue, other than unfortunate timing and overlap of people involved,” the statement read.

In an updated statement, the Rhythm City actress stated that she was not interested in commenting further on the matter as she is putting her faith and trust in the justice system, and would like to see the whole process through.

As an added twist to this already convoluted plot, it was revealed that Nota told Itumeleng that the money owed to her for the song was given to music maestro DJ Maphorisa. It was also revealed that Nota was the one responsible for doing the splits, which he did behind everyone’s back.

Coming to his own defence, Nota released his own statement claiming that although he and Itumeleng did have sexual relations, everything that transpired was agreed upon by both parties. “Anything that happened was consensual and was initiated by her, not me, and that is on record,” he said.

Internet reactions are currently split at the moment, with some users claiming that this is a publicity stunt by Itumeleng or her attempt at finally getting what was rightfully hers with the ‘Mayibabo’ royalties. While some users are sticking with and supporting her, reminding her that they believe her.

Told y’all Nota got a big mouth, he literally deleted this tweet mind you it’s the second tweet to be deleted by him that shows that his not beating those allegations, his guilty as hell I believe Itumeleng Bokaba. pic.twitter.com/lGCviTFtJa
