Mpho Wabadimo is now a DJ

by Unathi Balele

Reality TV star Mpho Wabadimo is about to be even more booked and busy as she has launched a new career as a DJ.

The Big Brother Mzansi 2022 winner took to Instagram and announced that she is now a DJ and she’s available for booking.

The new mom, who recently welcomed her bundle of joy a few months ago, shared snippets of herself playing at different gigs. She further revealed why she chose the path of becoming a DJ.

“I DJ purely for the love of playing music & making people happy,” Mpho wrote.

However, she turned off comments to avoid reactions from her followers.

Mpho Wabadimo also recently took to social media to celebrate her seven year of being a sangoma.

In an lengthy Instagram post, Mphowabadimo said the following:

“Thokozani it’s My Dloziversary?. Today marks my 7th year anniversary edlozini & still on this journey and not even halfway, I will never exchange my gift for anything because I AM because of my gift ?? Ngathwasa ngimcane & I went through initiation thinking I’m doing this just [for] my family but I didn’t realise the reasons were bigger than me.”

She confessed, “After I came back from initiation I sunk into depression, angry at my ancestors for stealing my youth, trying to find myself and also heal from the abuse iphehlo brought because the journey to self discovery isn’t easy and when it finally hit, I then humbled myself and accepted my gift and gave my ancestors permission to use me. Above everything, I humbled by uthando lwama dlozi wami noma kunyuka nomkwehlela (the love shown by my ancestors, through thick and thin).”

Mphowabadimo continued, “Today I carry my gift with grace and pride and yes it isn’t as easy all the time kodwa angeke ngiyeke ukuhlabela abaphatsi ngoba ukuphila Kwami kusedlozin (I will never stop giving praise to my ancestors as my healing is through them). I’m a young woman navigating this life thing with a spiritual gift and slaying it one day at time.
My Gift is my Spiritual Inheritance
& My name will never be forgotten
I AM MPHOWABADIMO
