Moja LOVE continues to distance itself from former Sizok’thola host, Xolani Khumalo. The DStv entertainment channel recently released a statement confirming that they sent Xolani a cease and desist letter.

The letter was sent to the former host, concerning a show he was said to be shooting under the disguise of Sizok’thola, which the channel states was illegal.

“Moja LOVE has been receiving complaints about unfortunate incidents during filming from The Consulate General of Nigeria and the Embassy of the DRC about their citizens who have been attacked during filming,” read the statement. “Moja LOVE would like to set the record straight that it is not the channel’s property that has been filming and distances itself from the rogue activities.”

The channel further stated that they would do everything in their power, within the law, to stop Xolani from proceeding and added that they would soon be meeting with The Consulate General of Nigeria and the DRC Ambassador to clear its name.

“We appeal to the public to report any illegal activity to the police.”

Moja LOVE parted ways with Xolani last year after the much-loved drug-buster was arrested and charged with the murder of an alleged drug dealer named Robert ‘Kicks’ Varrie. Xolani handed himself over to police, per their request, and was later granted R20,000 bail.

Xolani was later replaced by Moja LOVE with another presenter named Xolani Maphanga.

According to Sunday World, Xolani and his crew have been accused of another murder — a Congolese man named Heriter Abuba. The victim’s brother, John Wembo, alleges that one of the crew members kicked Heriter in the abdomen, who then fell to the ground.

“My brother started bleeding profusely while the other crew members joined in and started stomping on him,” says John.
