Lynn Forbes, the mother of slain rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes, shared her top favourite songs from her son’s posthumous album Mass Country.

The 14-track album, which was released on 24 February, just two weeks after the award-winning rapper’s passing, includes popular hits such as Company (featuring KDDO), Sponono (featuring Sjava, 031CHOPPA and Baby S.O.N), Mbuzi (Freestyle) (featuring Thato Saul) and Lemons (Lemonade) (featuring Nasty C) to name a few.

While speaking to SlikourOnLife, the media personality shared which songs she regards as her favourite. However, before sharing her favourites on the current album, Lynn shared that she enjoys Congratulate and “the wedding song,” referring to Jika.

“The whole of Mass Country, there’s no favourite for me.” Changing her answer, Lynn then says, “That’s actually my favourite song, Ease. Ease for me is a very emotional song. Ease on Mass Country is a very, I don’t know. I listen to that song and… I don’t think people understand that song the way I do.”

The motivational speaker, who has also launched her own podcast with friend and businesswoman Katie Mohamed called Outspoken Owls, then shares that she has a “favourite favourite” song from the album.

“You see, I’m going to have favourite favourites. So my favourite on Mass Country at the moment is Everest because I’m climbing Mount Everest next year. I’m going to base camp. So, now that song is like… there’s no mountain too high for you to operate.”
