Lesedi FM presenter Nkunyana Nkunyana, professionally known as Skuzabell, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his estranged wife.

The popular radio personality hosts Thuso Motaung’s Friday show called Jwale Ke Nako.

As exclusively reported by Sunday World, Skuzabell was released on R1000 bail after he appeared in the Bloemfontein magistrate’s court last Tuesday. NPA Free State spokesperson Mojalefa Senokoatsane confirmed the news of his arrest, stating, “A final protection order was granted against him.”

A source close to the estranged couple revealed to the publication mentioned above that Skuzabell left their matrimonial home located in Arcata, Bloemfontein, following his separation from his wife a few weeks prior, and then moved to Raceway.

The source further reveals that Skuzabell arrived at their shared home with a bakkie over the weekend. Upon his arrival, he reportedly informed his estranged spouse, who cannot be named for legal reasons, that he was there to retrieve a set of expensive couches from their home. An argument allegedly ensued after the wife questioned his actions and stated that they had two children who were using the furniture.

“Nkunyana insisted on removing the couches, and when his estranged wife tried to stop him, he allegedly slapped her several times in the face,” the source stated to Sunday World. As a result of the alleged violence, Skuzabell’s wife sustained minor injuries.

Following the alleged altercation, the source shares that Skuzabell then instructed the men who were with him to load the couches onto the bakkie. They then left the scene.

The trusted source also shares that the estranged couple’s marriage began to crumble after the wife publicly accused the Lesedi FM star of infidelity, something he has denied.
