Rapper Mthunzi Ngani, popularly known by his stage name ‘Shogun’, and stepson to renowned composer Lebo M was found guilty after allegedly assaulting the mother of his child.

Mthunzi, who appeared on the first season of Lebo M: Coming Home’s reality show, with his sister Ketso and mother Angela Casara who had an on-and-off relationship with the composer for 12 years, later calling it quits, due to irreconcilable differences.

Two years ago Shogun trended after a video of him circulated online, where he was seen forcefully trying to enter the house which he shared with his ex-girlfriend and mother to his son Ashleigh Ogle.

As reported by ZiMoja– a close source said that Mthunzi’s mother was relieved that the situation was final, adding that her son could move on from this ordeal, as he dodged a jail sentence and given a fine.

Another source told the entertainment publication that Mthunzi’s relationship with Ashleigh shocked a lot of people, as there was a huge age gap between them. His mother was against the relationship as she claimed to have seen a lot of red flags.

His stepfather Lebo M issued a statement, where he was quick to defend Ashleigh and cited that his stepson’s behaviour was fuelled by his mother’s abusive actions towards him as a child. The composer openly shared his experience with Angela and stated that she wasn’t being her true self on the reality show, but it was all an act. He decided to reconnect with her after learning that their children were not living in good conditions.
