KFC’s latest advertising campaign has sparked significant discomfort among TikTok users, igniting widespread debate across the platform.

The advertisement, titled “All Hail Gravy,” portrays a surreal scene where a man is walking in a forest and is suddenly surrounded by strange-looking people who begin dancing around him as if worshiping. This man is then submerged in a lake of gravy and re-emerges as a piece of fried chicken. This imagery has led many viewers to draw unsettling parallels to ritualistic themes, with some interpreting it as a metaphor for human sacrifice.

TikTok has become a hub for reactions to the ad, with users posting videos expressing their unease. Some even asked if KFC is now promoting cannibalism or what.

One user commented, “This new KFC ad is disturbing; it makes me question their marketing choices.”

Another remarked, “I can’t unsee that commercial. It’s like a horror movie disguised as fast-food promotion.”

One viewer stated, “The advert is disgusting!! Put me off KFC for life!! Looks like deep frying a man. What does this have to do with KFC?”

These sentiments reflect a broader trend of discomfort and confusion among viewers. The controversy isn’t confined to TikTok. On other social media platforms, users have echoed similar concerns.

Despite the backlash, some individuals appreciate the ad’s bold and unconventional approach, noting its memorability and creative direction. However, the prevailing sentiment on TikTok and other social media platforms leans towards discomfort, with many questioning the appropriateness of the advertisement’s content.
