Trevor Noah’s recent joke on the brutal killing of Charlie Kirk has left a bitter taste in the mouth of South African billionaire Elon Musk.
Charlie, an American conservative politician, tragically lost his life when he was assassinated during a public debate at Utah Valley University on the 10th of September.
He played an integral role in Donald Trump’s administration, and was well-known for his Christian ideologies and public debates on topics such as abortion and homosexuality. He was also vocal about his support of the Second Amendment which focuses on the rights of people to keep and bear firearms.
In a recent video circulating on social media platforms, the host of What Now? shared his humorous view on the killing.
In the clip, Trevor can be heard commenting on the irony of how Charlie was killed by the very thing he defended during his time alive.
Speaking to a crowd, he said:
“I wasn’t going to say anything about Charlie Kirk…but now you’ve tested me. You can’t say there’s nothing funny about it. As a comedian, I’m sure there is something funny about it.
“The guy was shot while defending guns. Do you understand how I’m not even writing that as a joke? As a human, you must admit that it is an incongruous, funny thing that happens.”

Meanwhile, his fellow countryman, Elon, who, under Donald Trump, shared close ties to Charlie, did not find the comedian’s comments amusing.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he responded:
“Trevor was lauded for being a libtard cuck for so long that he hasn’t realised that he stopped being funny. The guy actually has talent, but needs to get the woke virus out of his brain.”

Others in the comment section shared their sentiments, claiming that Trevor’s behavior was extremely common among those working in the arts and entertainment space.
