The multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band Goo Goo Dolls is excited to announce their December tour of South Africa.

Their music has moved generations, cementing them as one of rock music’s most beloved and enduring bands, with chart-topping hits such as Iris, Slide, Here is Gone and Name.

This tour follows the release of their most recent album, Chaos In Bloom, and comes after nearly four decades of success and a massive US tour.

Fans from all over the country can experience the Goo Goo Dolls’ magic in three iconic locations, each with its own unique and memorable concert experience.

The tour begins on the 4th of December at Cape Town’s Kirstenbosch Gardens, followed by a concert at Durban’s ICC Durban, and ends with a monumental finale at Pretoria’s historic Voortrekker Monument.

“We’re so proud to finally be able to announce our South African tour. It’s going to be three amazing nights of great music for everyone, so be there!” said John Rzeznik.

Presented by AMP Events, the Cape Town leg of the tour on December 4th is part of the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert series, a beloved annual tradition that draws both locals and tourists.

The world-renowned Kirstenbosch Gardens provides the ideal setting for a memorable night on the lawns under the stars.

As  special guests, Jinjer will bring a touch of homegrown talent to this unforgettable night of music. Jinjer’s singles include What He Means and Shallow Waters.

In Durban, singer-songwriter Roan Ash will support the band, while in Pretoria, Roan Ash, Ross Learmonth and Matthew Mole will perform.

Tickets for all the Goo Goo Dolls concerts will be available on Thursday at 9am via Webtickets.
