South African businessman Solomon ‘Solly’ Madibela, popularly known as MySol, has thrown his support behind rapper Emtee’s ambition to host a concert at Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium.

MySol backs Emtee’s stadium ambitions
In a video shared on Instagram, MySol asked Emtee whether he was planning to host a Fill Up FNB Stadium concert.
“MySol’s got your back,” he told the rapper before asking whether they were going to fill the stadium.
Emtee responded positively, saying: “Let’s do it.”
MySol then reiterated his commitment, telling Emtee that he was serious about supporting the concert. The businessman also asked the rapper about his birthday, which falls on 15 September.
The potential concert would allow Emtee to take his music to one of South Africa’s biggest stadium stages, although no official concert date or event details have been announced.

MySol pledges R6,000 to backup dancers
MySol also used the event to highlight the contribution of backup dancers, saying they often support artists without receiving enough recognition or financial support.
“All the dancers … Make sure every dancer who’s here with the artist gets their R6,000. All of them,” he said in another video from the event.
His pledge means the dancers performing at the event were each set to receive R6,000.
The gesture has drawn attention to the often-overlooked role dancers play in live performances and the wider entertainment industry.
MySol’s previous support for artists
This is not the first time MySol has made headlines for supporting South African entertainers.
In May, he reportedly hosted a celebration at his newly acquired property in Cape Town, where musicians including DJ Tira, Kwesta, Mlindo the Vocalist, Babalwa M, Blaq Diamond and Sjava were among the entertainment line-up.
According to The Citizen, during the event, MySol also reportedly gave musician Intaba Yase Dubai an additional R50,000 to perform his favourite song.
His latest pledge has now put the spotlight on Emtee and the possibility of the rapper taking on the ambitious challenge of filling FNB Stadium.
For now, the proposal remains a future ambition, with no confirmed date or official announcement for a Fill Up FNB Stadium concert.
