Rapper Mthembeni Ndevu popularly known as Emtee has recently confirmed that he and his wife, Nicole Kendall Chinsamy have worked on their marriage.

This follows after it was alleged that the Roll Up hitmaker moved out of their home and stayed with a friend in Fourways while filing for divorce amid their marital problems early last year.

In a recent interview with Podcast and Chill hosted by Mac G and Sol Phenduka, the rapper said he is happy to be reunited with his family.

“I’m fighting for my family. She gave me three kids. We are still working on it. I got a bit of counselling.

“We met a couple of times and we spoke. Through us meeting and talking we decided let’s build our family. When we were apart for those few months I was depressed,” said Emtee.

He shares three children with Nicole, they have a son named Avery who was born in 2015, another son Logan who was born in 2018 and a 1-year-old daughter, Nairobi.

The rapper’s fans have had speculations on social media that Emtee is back with his wife following his recent ordeal about a hijacking he experienced. The artist took to X (formerly Twitter) and said during the incident that he begged the hijackers not to hurt him because he has a family to feed.

He noted: “Bafethu (gents). I don’t mean to disturb your job. Just don’t hijack me; I have a newborn, two boys and a wife. I’m trying to feed my kids.”
