‘Cyril Ramaphosa, announce election date so we can plan your democratic removal’- Julius Malema

The year 2024 is an important year for the citizens of South Africa as the time to vote for a new governing political party has arrived.

Despite knowing that the elections will take place this year, no official date has been issued by the ruling party, ANC.

As the country awaits the election date announcement, many people and political parties have expressed the need for the date to be set.

Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) Chief in Command who once was the president of the ANC youth league, Julius Malema is one of the people who called for the president to announce the date.

Julius took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to ask the Republic of South Africa’s president for an election date in order to plan and strategize as the party.

He shared, “Mhlekazi @CyrilRamaphosa, announce the election date now so that we can plan your democratic removal effectively and immediately.”

Internet users commented on the CIC’S post, sharing they didn’t understand why it was taking the president long to announce the date. Some vouched that Julius will not win the elections even if the date is announced.

It’s strange that up until now nothing has been safe about the date. Which is something that if done will intensify preparations, sensitization and campaigns

One user noted the perfect choice of words used by Julius, adding:

Nicely phrased. A negative expression communicated with positivity,class and style,and yet,with a bite….nice!!??

????? I like the ambition and confidence.
In fact, without confidence, men are as good as dead.

One user added that even if Cyril was removed from the presidency, Julius will still not be the next president.
