Palesa Motaung also known as Cabbage Girl is a woman determined to make a big mark in the agriculture industry. The farmer who grows and sells cabbages, shared some aspects of her business on her social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) in the form of how much profit she made in March.

With many unable to secure employment in the country, young people need to equip themselves with business skills that will help them survive in this economy.

Taking to X, the young farmer shared pictures of herself in her farm captioning her post:

“In these parts around here, I’m known as #CabbageGirl. In March we sold 35k cabbages worth R617k. Today farm gate price for cabbage was R16. Midlands farmers are smart. They take turns to sell to keep the price up. Chess not checkers.”
