Bonko Khoza to star in a new TV drama series ‘iThonga’

It will be like Deja Vu for those who have watched award-winning actor, and film producer Bonko Khoza playing twin characters on Showmax’s Red Ink recently, as he will entertain mzansi on iThonga.

The talented thespian known for characters he portrayed on The Wife and Heart of the Hunter will once again portray twin characters with an unshakable bond on a highly anticipated drama series.

Bonko will be joined by Ayanda Borotho, Nelisiwe Sibiya, Noluthando Ngema and Siphosethu Mabaso on this riveting drama which is set against the breathtaking backdrop of KwaZulu-Natal, where the drama unfolds in a world of construction mafias, betrayal and a destiny too powerful to escape. As Banele and Sanele’s separate lives become one, the big question is: if twins share a soul, where does one end and the other begin?

iThonga delves deep into this notion with Banele and Sanele, twin brothers walking two completely different paths – one in the light,  the other in the shadows – but their fates are forever linked.

Introducing the cast of’ iThonga’ Mzansi Magic’s new drama replacing Umkhokha.

Director of Local Entertainment Channels, Shirley Adonisi describes iThonga as a game-changer. “This series focuses on the mystical and unshakable bond between twins and the lengths  they will go to,  to protect each other’s legacy against any negative forces at play. It’s a powerful blend of culture, family and the unseen forces that bind twins together!”

This thrilling drama series is set to replace Umkhokha: The Curse, with its premier on the 3rd of march.
