SA’s top vocalists celebrate Mama Winnie in song

South Africans who attended the commemorative #IamWinnieMandela concert at, Constitution Hill on Thursday night, were treated to powerful music by the country’s top female vocalist.

On stage, dance music sensation Busiswa opened the night with a soulful performance combining poetry and song in a way that was far different to the usual Qom music she is popularly known for.

Afro soul singer Lira gave an electric performance singing the song ‘Born Free‘ from her newly released album.

Other performances were made by former The Soil band member Buhlebendalo who made her debut appearance as a solo artist.
