By Fundiswa Nkwanyana

I am passionate about helping to improve the lives of people in Africa. History shows that many countries around the world have chosen to excavate and sometimes take advantage of Africa’s resources in the ground. But, very few saw the tremendous resources that exist within the people. I believe that Africans have a critical role to play in developing the continent. So, I want to help Africa reach its full potential by empowering its people.

Join me on October 1st as I make my headlining debut at the second annual Essence Music Festival in Durban, South Africa. You don’t want to miss this experience featuring Joyous Celebration! Get your tickets here: http://bit.ly/2wTqUCE #EssenceFestDBN @essencefest

I’m excited to be returning to Durban. I can’t wait to use all that is within me to empower, encourage and positively impact the lives of people. This is through helping them to recognise that they are their greatest resource. I had a great time last year, and can’t wait to be a part of the festival again.

In my talks, I will explore the festival’s theme – Firing Africa with Inspiration. I’m passionate about inspiring and uplifting people, and can’t wait to share my unique wealth of experience. When people are inspired, they evolve to be the best version of themselves. I also can’t wait to sing and praise at the festival’s gospel concert.

This was an amazing evening. We tried to represent! So many interesting people from all over the world!!Repost: #EssenceFdbn #EssenceFestDurbanSouthAfrica One of the presenting artist in fabric at #Carnavale and #TheHusband ❤️ #GoldenLife #GoldenYears ™@seritajakes

The festival started at the Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (ICC) and the Durban Exhibition Centre on 26 September, and continues until 1 October 2017.
