Pearl Modiadie is in full support of the movement to ban pitbulls in South African communities.

The call to ban these dangerous dogs from communities escalated after Olebogeng Mosime an 8-year-old boy from Bloemfontein was attacked to death by a pitbull.

Many were left heartbroken as this story of the 8-year-old boy is just one of many we have seen.

The award winning TV host took to twitter to express her full support for having these vicious dogs be considered dangerous enough to not be owned as pets.

“Pitbulls belong in the wild! They are NOT pets!!!, It’s heartbreaking reading about yet another child being mauled by these dogs #banpitbull,”Pearl tweeted.

Some of her followers agreed with her while of course, others argue that pitbulls are not being trained adequately by their owners and are safe pets when trained.

“Pitbull owners should be banned those ones that does the killings… Dont get it twisted… Ban those illegal breeding happening in locations to sell off and use for fights,”Mehlwill commented.

“I raised my Pit bull from 6 weeks old until he reached a ripe old age of 14 years old. Never bit any human being, not even the children he was raised with in the family. I still maintain certain people should not have animals because they don’t know how to raise it,”Gabyj added.

Actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo also took to twitter to share her experience with pitbulls in support of the movement to ban pitbulls.

“Pitbulls are a NO-NO, I’m so glad people are taking a stand against having them as pets. My ex had 3 & it was always terrifying being around them alone especially if they weren’t fed yet or fed on their regular time, they go wild! They are not safe, RIP to the young souls lost,” she tweeted.
