How to take care of your beard

Beards made a comeback a few years ago. They’ve shed the ill-informed perception of their wearers being scruffy, dirty and unprofessional people. However the reality is that taking care of a beard can be hard work. It requires a tad it more attention to detail to appear suave and not like a hippie. We consulted with barber and Founder of Legends Barbershop in Eldorado Park, Sheldon Tatchel to find out how you can rock a long beard and still come across as well groomed. Here are his tips:

1.Always wash your beard with shampoo to ensure it stays clean and fresh.

2. Using a beard brush will keep it tidy.

3. Beard oil or moisturizer will help keep it healthy.

4. Avoid using unclean razor blades because they can cause itching. If you’re going to be using a razor it’s advised to apply shaving cream beforehand.

5. Using aftershave will open your pores so that your skin can breathe. It’s also important to use disinfectant after shaving.

6. It’s advised to consult with a professional barber when you are planning on trimming.
