Hellen Motsuki reveals 2nd pregnancy

While celebrating her 39th birthday, the actress seemingly confirmed fans’ suspicions that she is pregnant in real life after the official Skeem Saam Instagram page shared a quirky video of her character, Melita, announcing her pregnancy on the show.

Contrary to her character, who announced her pregnancy publicly, Hellen has been quietly enjoying the same journey. She does, however, reflect on the irony of how life has imitated art and appreciates sharing the journey with the character she’s been playing for so long.

“It has been such a blessing that my character on Skeem Saam is pregnant at the same time as I am. Sharing this journey with her has been a special experience,” she shared with Batswadi.

“My character and I are two very different people, with our own lives and personalities, but there are moments when her emotions and experiences feel familiar because I’m going through pregnancy myself,” Hellen shared.

Stepping into parenthood… again

Through the anticipation of the arrival of her new baby, reflection follows suit. Despite having raised her first child, she can acknowledge that being a mother of one doesn’t come with the expertise of being a mother of two.

“Having one child doesn’t mean I know everything about being a mother. Every child, every stage, and every chapter brings new lessons. And I’m ready for it all,” she shared, feeling affirmed in her new journey.
