A short clip of a row in a hotel room dispute, labelled a ‘hotel room clash’ online, has drawn thousands of reactions after the woman in the footage insists on being paid her money, and the the man appears to offer nothing more than $20 (about R400) while asking her to leave, reports Cape {town} Etc.

The video, shared on X, captured immediate amusement and sharp debate across users on the platform.

The footage shows the woman saying she wants her money, while the man fumbles in his wallet and replies that she should go, which provoked a flood of comments that mixed humour with sympathy and criticism.

One user wrote: ‘Give her money, you wan knack free without paying!’ and others argued the exchange underlined economic anxieties and migration tensions.
