Erin Jane Miller prepares to represent South Africa at Mrs World 2026 with purpose and faith
Erin Jane Miller, crowned Mrs South Africa 2025, is currently in the United States to proudly fly the South African flag at the globally acclaimed Mrs World 2026 pageant in Las Vegas.
Crowned at the Theatre of Marcellus in Emperors Palace on 15 November 2024, Miller brings more than elegance and poise to the stage—she carries a story shaped by resilience, purpose, and a commitment to community.
A journey shaped by life and purpose
Speaking to Independent Media Lifestyle ahead of the competition, Miller described the honour of representing South Africa as “one of the greatest responsibilities” of her life.
“Every challenge, trial and triumph I have experienced has brought me to this very moment. Becoming a mother and wife, building a business, and growing up on the Cape Flats have all deposited invaluable life lessons that only experience can,” she shared.
The mother of two explained that her personal experiences inspired her passion for community upliftment. Witnessing poverty firsthand and its cycle of shame and struggle has driven her commitment to restore dignity and empower others.
“People are not poor because they are lazy; they need leaders to guide and empower them with the necessary tools to become self-sustaining producers instead of just consumers,” Miller said.
Amplifying community impact
Miller’s advocacy work goes beyond words. She has been actively involved with the 4Change Foundation since its inception in 2008, and she is particularly excited about the foundation’s recent Elevate program, which offers mentorship, wellness tools, and rewards for underprivileged communities.
“I hope to amplify their work not only in South Africa but globally, helping to restore dignity to young and old in underserved communities,” she said.
Preparing for Mrs World
Beyond advocacy, Miller shared the mental, emotional, and spiritual preparation required to compete on the global stage.
“Preparing for Mrs World has pushed me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to grow on every level. Every new stage requires deeper, intentional preparation,” she explained.
Faith and purpose remain central to her approach.
“My faith grounds me, and my purpose informs how I show up in the world. I am determined to honour my calling above applause,” Miller said.
Celebrating South African women
Miller is proud to showcase South Africa’s resilience, strength, and nurturing spirit on the global stage. She drew inspiration from community activist and politician Derleen James, praising her fearless pursuit of justice and community empowerment.
“Her passion and dedication remind me of the strength and compassion South African women embody every day,” Miller said.
Redefining success and legacy
For Miller, “having it all” is about honouring priorities across different areas of life and seeking integration rather than balance. She hopes her journey inspires women and young girls to embrace purpose, no matter their background or age.
“To every woman who believes she is too old to start again and every young girl who thinks her environment defines her fate, my journey is a testament that you can rise, and your life has purpose,” she shared.
Looking ahead, Miller hopes to leave a legacy that creates lasting impact, empowering communities worldwide and showing that beauty and purpose can go hand in hand.
Eyes on the crown
As Miller steps onto the global stage, all of South Africa will be watching. The Mrs World 2026 finale will be held at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino on Thursday, 29 January, and Erin Jane Miller is ready to make her mark with faith, grace, and purpose.
“It is an honour to showcase South Africa’s spirit to the world, and I am committed to representing our values with integrity and passion,” she concluded.
