While ‘Sibongile & The Dlaminis’ is on a brief production break, the drama is far from over.

Season 2 is still airing on Mzansi Wethu (Channel 163), delivering all the thrilling twists, shocking betrayals, and heartwarming moments fans love.

The show continues to keep audiences captivated, with viewers glued to their screens each week, eagerly waiting for the next shocking turn in the storyline.

Irvin Pooe, Mzansi Magic‘s publicist, confirmed to BrieflyNews that the show is simply taking a short production break, putting fans’ worries to rest and assuring them that the drama is not finished yet.

However, this temporary pause has sparked speculation regarding the show’s future. News24 reported that a production insider expressed surprise at the broadcaster’s decision to halt filming, especially considering season 2 had only wrapped up a mere four months ago.

This news has left many wondering what lies ahead for the show and whether there are changes on the horizon.

In late 2024, Mzansi Magic announced a major strategic shift for 2025, which will involve the conclusion of several popular shows to make room for new productions.

Among the shows ending are two of mzansi’s highest-performing telenovelas: ‘Umkhokha: The Curse’ and ‘My Brother’s Keeper’.

Both series have delivered compelling and intense two-season runs, with ‘Umkhokha: The Curse’ airing its final episode in February 2025, and ‘My Brother’s Keeper’ set to conclude in April 2025.

While ‘Sibongile & The Dlaminis’ may be on a short break, one thing is certain: the drama is far from over. Fans can look forward to more surprises, shocking twists, and intense moments when the show returns.
