Fashion is defined as the ability of an individual to express themselves, at times it is influenced by a mix of cultural, social and economic factors. However, particularly those that are considered “ugly” typically receive strong and varied reactions from the public.

It is said that fashion evolves. So, what was trending this year, chances are that it won’t be in the next. There are always new ideas and constant developments in the fashion industry.

Another way of looking at it is the difference between wearing and styling your clothes with examples below:

Some trends do work in terms of the following each one receives but some receive negative reviews. In the below video, a woman asks the question: “What are the ugliest fashion trends that no one talks about,” the internet weighs in:

TikTok users took to the comment section of the platform saying:

“That short bubble skirt influencers are wearing,” says one user.

“I LOVE sambas but hate how they’re always paired up with black formal pants, a striped t-shirt & a black leather jacket, cute look BUT nonke vele (everyone)?” another user asked.

Another user commented: “New Balance 530, didn’t our grandfathers use them for marathons (with crying emojis).”

Another user said: “Those denim rough edges outfits and pleated mini skirts.”

Another user shared: “Wearing gym sets everywhere even on a date (crying emoji).”
