Katlego Lebogang’s journey from screen to stage

The South African television and film powerhouse has added a monumental new milestone to her flourishing career.

Known for her gripping, gritty dramatic work in hit series like Spinners, and for winning over audiences as Thando in the festive romantic comedy Yoh! Christmas and its sequel Yoh! Bestie, Lebogang is now making an exciting transition into classical stage work.

Bringing her trademark emotional depth and commanding presence to Maynardville Park in Cape Town, she is set to tackle a compelling dual challenge as both Lady Macduff and a Weird Sister (Future).

A star-studded ensemble

While Lebogang anchors a powerful corner of the tragedy, she is joined by a phenomenal supporting cast of South Africa’s finest stage and screen talent.

Under the direction of award-winning Lesedi Job, the production features Nathaniel Ramabulana stepping into the title role of Macbeth, starring alongside Lizelle Pike as Lady Macbeth.

As rehearsals approach, theatre enthusiasts are eagerly watching how this extraordinary ensemble will breathe fresh life into one of Shakespeare’s darkest masterpieces, cementing Maynardville’s legacy as a cornerstone of South African performing arts.
